7 Tech Processes Goals

 1. As an English teacher, I love the idea of students having their own blogs to store writing. I plan to use blogs to help students keep their writing all in the one place and be able to access one another's pieces.

2. I plan to create a digital assessment to use before, during, and after each unit.

3. I plan to have the students use slack to communicate regarding group projects, and Google Docs/slides/etc so that I can easily see who has contributed where and make sure that everyone is working together

4. I plan to use curation tools to help students make compilations that relate to each other on the same topic. I think I will experiment with this to give another take on the research paper, before the paper itself has to be written.

5. I plan to use screencasting to respond to students' writing. It will be so nice to be able to put voice to my feedback, instead of hoping that the students can interpret my notes on their paper.

  1. I love these ideas, particularly 1 and 5. As for number 1, I think it is great to make the student's work available to each other. If they can see what others are doing, it can answer some questions about the assignments and inspire creativity too. I know it help me in this class when I'm not sure if I know what I'm doing on an assignment when I can look at other's blogs for clarity. And for number 5, I think screencasting is a great way to give feedback! It helps me a lot when I can hear my teacher's voice, not just read their words. I think the feedback can be much clearer that way.

  2. Beth you have such great goals! Student blogs are a great resource for record keeping and the sharing of creative student work (both are very helpful and inspiring to students). The use of slack etc. are great ways to have students communicate with each other to work on group projects. Great job!
